1. Who we are
Blue Particle Studios is a motion design and video studio based in Abuja, Nigeria. "We" and "us" mean Blue Particle Studios. "You" means the person or organisation ordering a video.
2. What we do and scope
We make motion-designed videos: planning, scripting, storyboarding, animating, editing and delivering them. The exact scope (length, number of videos, sizes, deliverables) is set in your written brief or quote. Anything outside it is a change, and we will quote it before doing it.
We animate and edit from the material you supply. We don't currently film on location.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are fixed and confirmed in writing (WhatsApp or email counts) before you pay.
- We start work when your brief is approved and the first 50% is received.
- The remaining 50% is due when you approve the final cut. Final files are released once payment is complete.
- Prices are in Nigerian naira or US dollars, as quoted. We accept Nigerian bank transfer and agreed international methods.
- If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it is received.
- Student and startup rates are for eligible people and companies. We may ask for proof, such as a current student ID. If you don't qualify, the standard rate applies.
4. Timelines
We give you a delivery date in writing before you pay. Dates assume you send materials and feedback promptly. If you are late with either, the date moves by the same amount. If we expect to miss a date, we will tell you as soon as we know.
5. Revisions
Your package states how many revision rounds are included: usually two, and one for the Student package. A round means one consolidated set of feedback, sent together. Further rounds, or changes to an approved script or storyboard, are quoted separately and only done with your agreement.
6. What we need from you
- Logos, photos, text, footage and any other materials we need, in good time.
- Confirmation that you have the right to use everything you give us, including music, images and brand assets.
- Clear, consolidated feedback and timely approvals.
7. Ownership and usage
- When you have paid in full, you own the finished video and may use it anywhere, including in paid ads, with no time limit.
- We keep our working files, templates, tools, techniques and any material that existed before your project, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Music, fonts and stock elements are licensed for use inside your video. They are not transferred to you as separate files.
8. Portfolio
We may show the finished video, and short extracts, in our portfolio, website and social media to show our work. If you want your project kept private, tell us in writing before work starts and we will respect that.
9. Cancellation and refunds
- Before work starts: if you cancel before your brief is approved and work begins, we refund your deposit in full.
- After work starts: the deposit covers the planning and creative work already begun and is not refunded.
- Later in the project: if you cancel after the storyboard is approved and the work done is worth more than your deposit, we may invoice you for the work completed, up to the full agreed price.
- If you go quiet: if we hear nothing from you for 30 days, we may close the project. The deposit is kept, and restarting may be re-quoted.
- If we cannot deliver: if we are unable to complete your video, we will refund what you have paid for the undelivered work.
10. Responsibility
We take care over every video, but we can't promise results such as views, sales or sign-ups. You are responsible for what you publish and for the claims made in your video. Our responsibility to you for any issue is limited to the amount you paid for that project.
11. Privacy
What we collect. The details you send us: your name, how to reach you (email or WhatsApp), and what you tell us about your project. The enquiry form on this site doesn't store anything. It opens WhatsApp or your email app with your message ready, and nothing is sent until you press send there.
How we use it. Only to reply to you, quote, and do the work. We don't sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.
Third parties. If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes that conversation under its own terms. This website is hosted on Vercel, and its fonts load from Google Fonts, which means those services can see your IP address when you visit. We don't run analytics and don't set tracking cookies.
How long we keep it. For as long as needed to do the work and keep business records. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, and we will unless we are required to keep them.
We aim to handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. Most problems are quick to fix when we hear about them early.
We may update these terms. The version in force when we confirm your quote is the one that applies to your project.
